How long have you worked at Dungarvin; in the IDD industry?

I have worked for Dungarvin since 2018, I was first hired as a DSP but became a Program Coordinator within two months of being hired.

Why do you have a passion for this work?

I love working in this field because of how much we get to help these individuals live their authentic lives. To be able to see the smiles and the happiness on the individuals’ faces who we are helping makes my heart happy knowing that we are helping them live the lives they deserve.

What would you most like to see happen in your state to better serve people with disabilities?

To better serve people with disabilities in my state requires more education enabling individuals to be more independent and to live their best lives.  My Eugene team has gone above and beyond making sure that our clients are getting the best care possible while learning new life skills.

Who are your heroes in life and why?

My father. He has always been my number one supporter. He has pushed me to be who I am today and to take my work ethic seriously. Coming from a military background, my father has made me a stronger and more driven individual. I couldn’t thank him enough for always being there and supporting me.

What do you most value about the Dungarvin team with whom you work?

That each one of my Dungarvn colleagues works with integrity, compassion, and dedication. They are passionate about the team and the work that they do. The Eugene office is run by mostly women, and I love seeing women support women. I am grateful that I get to be a part of this team on a daily basis and experience the family that they have created here.
