5 questions with…Russ McGill

Dungarvin’s Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Russ McGill, just celebrated his 12th anniversary with us! This outgoing, self-starting, family man feels “very strongly about the value-added part of helping good people accomplish extraordinary things.” We couldn’t agree more. Get to know Russ and his values a bit more through ‘5 Questions with Russ McGill.’

1. Why do you have a passion for this work?

At Dungarvin, our employees provide value-added services and support functions every day. I feel very strongly about the value-added part of helping good people accomplish extraordinary things.

2. What is your most treasured possession?

My family and close circle of friends, and the countless memories I have with both. Also, my office has more than a few family pictures and art projects from my grandchildren. I always crack a smile when I look at their drawings and love when I get to add to the collection!

3. What do you most value in a friend or a co-worker?

Whether it’s a personal or professional relationship, it’s important that I know where someone’s coming from, and they mean what they say.

4. Who are your heroes in life and why?

My wife, Susan. She is a special educator who teaches children with autism. Over many years, I’ve seen the positive impact she’s had on her students and their families, and the long-lasting relationships she’s built with them. Her work goes way beyond the classroom, and what she accomplishes every day is truly amazing and nothing short of heroic. She also happens to be a great wife, mom and “Nanny”!

5. What do you most value about the Dungarvin team with whom you work?

I value my team because they are some of the smartest people I’ve ever worked with, and they truly care about the groups they support. Each team member is looked upon by their internal customers as a trusted business partner, and I’m very proud of them for that!
